ColorOS 17 brings improved translucent features that use fewer resources.
It also adds improved AI Mind features, including agent support and a natural-language photo-editing tool.
OPPO’s flagship Find X10 series recently launched in China and is said to launch globally very soon. OPPO has confirmed October 21 as the launch date and recently gave us a first look at the international variant. Today, OPPO is sharing details about Color OS 17, its next-generation Android 17-based software experience, which arrives first with the Find X10 series.
Color OS 17 continues the translucent look we’ve seen in recent Color OS versions. Alongside making elements a tad more translucent and leaning into Apple’s Liquid Glass territory, OPPO is working to make rendering more efficient. The improved “Luminous Rendering Engine” now using 30% fewer resources than previous Color OS versions. Meanwhile, the “Laminar Flow Engine” ensures app previews load 50% faster while using less RAM. OPPO claims these optimizations leave more room for apps to stay active in the background.

Yes, Gemini has made its way into Keep, and while I’m not a fan of it showing up in every single Google app (looking at you, Messages and YouTube), I’ve genuinely grown to like it inside Keep. So much so that it made me ditch Samsung Notes, an app that had been untouchable in my book for years.
Samsung Notes has a lot going for it
